To be honest, the colours made me think of the Kraken :P

My issue with Kraken is that the Kraken is always depicted as black.

Brandon, that's a great character, but I hate the movies for their depiction of pirates. The clothing has not accuracy whatsoever, and there's some serious issues with the locations they used. For example, by the time that this movie supposedly takes place, Port Royal in Jamaica had been abandoned. The seat of British power had moved to Kingston.

I'm kind of digging on Dreadnought. It's big, it's heavy; it's kind of unstoppable. Really excited for this to be finished. So far, I think Dreadnought is the winner.

Randall, Titan is pretty cool too. Titan and Leviathan are tied.

Cheers Jesse, I'm a sailor myself so I like the idea of it being named after a class of ship. I'm surprised and glad you've taken my idea on board :D

Matt, my main issue with dreadnought is that when I talk sailor, I'm discussing 1700s/Golden Age of Piracy. The dreadnought class is a fantastic ship, but they're a 208th century design. I love the name, just trying to decide if I want to move to something not pirate era for the name.

If you're keeping it pirate, how about Man-O'-War?

I also thought of calling it the "Whip-of-the-line" a play on "Ship-of-the-Line", the term for Naval warships during that time period. There was still some superstition about mythological beasts during this time, so any of the other such names would work.

There were HMS Dreadnoughts that were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rate ships of the line so you could totally still roll with it.

Heck, apparently the name dates back to a Tudor-era galleon, so....

Jesse, I still kinda like Kraken that someone mentioned earlier. How ever I don't believe that's a ship.

Sadly Ron, it is not. I liked it too. It doesn't have to be one necessarily. One of my whip builds, I guess its my version of a target whip, sits on a 14 inch handle. I called it the Long Nine, names after the long cannons mounted in the bow of warships.
