Thank you! It cracks very easy. I have found that I really love the taper twist and I end them like I end my falls, with a english eye that I sew in with some invisible thread. That way fall slips on easy and with the english eye on the fall, the cracker slips on easy too. A nice continuous taper with no bumps. I may change my practice whips completely because of it.

Jessie, 'no bumps' must be a great virtue!Jessie Edwards wrote:... I am changing my practical whip formula to include an english eye. The reason for this is, that these are specifically made for beginners and for practice. As a beginner, one does not want to have to mess with fall knots or cracker knots. This has resulted in a change in the formula that I am working through; however, with the addition of a weighted fall on this one, I achieved the weight well known to my practice whips.
This is a standard practice whip in chocolate brown with a camo diamond plait on the handle. 5 foot thong with a 12 inch handle.

I know this is supposed to be a simpler, more beginner whip, but there is something incredibly beautiful about this one. I dont know why, but it just looks amazing. The colors are wonderful together, and I really love that handle idea. It just comes together really well.

This whip is a commission for someone in Germany. She likes tango dancers, black and red, and Mickey Mouse. The handle is a bleached mahogany veneer with a platinum hand-cut inlay of Mickey. The lower half of the whip is black with hand beading reminiscent of fishnet stockings. The back of the beading features a seam, like one would see on vintage style nylon stockings. The beading will be finished with small knots at the end. The thong will be royal red with black finishing knots at the transition, the top of the beading, and the heel. I haven't decided if I should seal the beading with epoxy or not. Maybe if it's only a thin layer, it would protect and seal.
Here is Mr. Mouse:

And the start of the fishnet beading:

The finished beading on the front:

The finished beading with the sexy back seam:

The whole handle so far:
