Looking great Jesse, the combination of multiple-pass diamond patterns is a nice touch

Thanks Matt. I'm happy with how it looks so far.

That's looking very good. I love the colors and the plaiting patterns. They work so well together.
If I'm seeing correctly it's a herringbone with 4 strands? Will you continue this pattern or are you gonna switch patterns further down?

I'm wondering if there will be a difference in handling when finished?
Anyway it looks very good.

Cute dog too :-D

Thanks Rachel.

Sven, it basically is a herringbone plait where you move four strands at a time. It's tough to keep tight, but it looks pretty nice. The thong is mainly going to be standard herringbone with the occasional diamond section as I go.

Very nice and simple color combination. Your weave looks clean, too.
If I can't run fast, I'll make slow look impressive.

Thanks Craig. I wanted it to be simple enough that it wouldn't really blur in motion, but have enough contrast that it shows off some plaiting techniques. Its both a piece of my performances once it's finished as well as a marketing tool for my whipmaking.

Thanks Brandon. I'm actually enjoying it. I'm taking my time so I'm not burning out my fingers in the process of making it. Its a fun little build.

For the amount of fun you're gonna have with it, it probably is small ;)

Nice work, be careful on keeping a straight seam. That's becomes a mission on a long plait like this.
Looking good so far though,
Cute dog, hope it's not eating anything important, ... :)

Fritz, she's not cheek g anything aside from one of her toys. She's actually really good about that. I am trying as hard as I can to makes sure that my seams are straight. It was a little tough when I moved from coachwhipping to the herringbone plait. I think it's a little off, just due to how strands fall with that plait, but it only off for about 3 strands, and then it lines right back up with the plaiting on the handle.

Alright guys. I need help making this monster. I'm trying to think of something that conveys its massive size as well as being Naval oriented. In was thinking Leviathan, but I'm not sure.
