Hi Sam, no I sure don't, I just made it as I went. It is basically the same as a belt. Shorter length of course, but a flat plait. If it it wrapped and pulled tight it will hold.

Rachel, I've found over the years that a 6.5 foot length is perfect for what I consider a 'shorter' whip.

WS we will call it yeller gold
That's goldenrod unwaxed. A nice soft cord that'll do a very tight twist. Hagen had used about 25 feet in his whip so I used the rest. I like a different color in the belly sometimes

No this will not be visible on the overlay, it will be solid black.

I will certainly keep it in mind for an overlay in the future! It is more of a yellow to orange when it is waxed.
And I will smile when I see the black but know its bright yeller gold inside
