This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

This new Gallery replaces the former "Masters Gallery", which will work from now on as pure archive. Here you will find not only the work and art from folks who sell whips, but also from folks, who create their whips out of pure passion. And we have an additional gallery. It is called "The Gallery - Making of".

Rachel, it really is like Tyler says.
Long enough to be slow but short enough for the faster cracks like the fast 8 and volleys.

Do you have any pattern for that holder?

Ron, I sure agree!

Hi Sam, no I sure don't, I just made it as I went. It is basically the same as a belt. Shorter length of course, but a flat plait. If it it wrapped and pulled tight it will hold.

Rachel, I've found over the years that a 6.5 foot length is perfect for what I consider a 'shorter' whip. :)

Nicely done Rachel.
Is that going to be the overlay color?
I like the high visibility. (great for a practice or a demonstration whip)

Thank you, friends!

WS we will call it yeller gold ;)
That's goldenrod unwaxed. A nice soft cord that'll do a very tight twist. Hagen had used about 25 feet in his whip so I used the rest. I like a different color in the belly sometimes ;)

No this will not be visible on the overlay, it will be solid black.

Well, I'm sure the solid black will also look very fine but maybe keep this color in mind for a future overlay?

:D I will certainly keep it in mind for an overlay in the future! It is more of a yellow to orange when it is waxed.
And I will smile when I see the black but know its bright yeller gold inside ;)

Thank you, Robby, for introducing this new work of mine. You are always clear and fair in your assessment, and it is a real pleasure to see the whip flow in your hands.
Thank you :-)
