Thanks everyone for all your support.
Tyler, you are right. Our own guru... we are very lucky.
Roy, those were my high school colors! haha! My nephew came over and saw the whip pictured and couldn't get over it. (because of the school thing) I think he is going to need one soon.
Devin, I just do it even. I drop one at a time so I don't really think of it as even though.

So cool that your nephew may decide to get into whips. The more people in the family cracking whips the better. Do to her success with trying it out, and a couple of recent incidents with dogs / coyotes, my wife just decided she might want one too. Might take a while before I make her one though, I've had one sitting untouched on the hook for almost a moth now that I need to finish first - and it means putting off some other whip projects I want to do. (so many types of whip to make, so little time!)
Bobbi, since you are really the only other person making 14 plait whips regularly, do you want me to send you the patterns for what I plan for my wife's?

Ben read my mind, I totally agree with his comment.Ben Rezendes wrote:That really is quite a cool pattern.
I am personally into darker colors too usually but I have to say, orange and blue…. you can't really go wrong. Beautiful whip bobbi!
Another cool combination could be orange and light blue, I still remember the Gulf cars here and there.
Another wonderful whip from this amazing lady.
Well done Bobbi!

So, this is a 5 foot gold and black Show whip. The client is a photographer and these are his pictures.

Now that Carl has his whip, I'll put a picture of it here too.

And, you have all seen the Tibetan Wave before. This one is really special because it is my 100th whip this year. I know that a lot of you make way more than I do, but I'm proud that I'm at this number this early.

Thanks everyone.
The majority of the 100 whips were 5 footers, so it isn't as big of a deal as if they were all 8s. Still, it made me happy.
Tyler, that is a shell on the show whip so it is really light reflective. I was going to use a tiger eye at first but then this shell came in with gold and copper tones.... it was too perfect.
