I'm starting to get a stock pile of partially finished whips while I wait for my paracord to arrive.

Well my two shades of red came in today. I posted a bad review for the vendor and they refunded my shipping fee because of the delay. I guess I'll start the overlay tomorrow. Today I'm too bummed out to plait.

Well that stinks. On the bright side, you will have something to plait on when you're ready. You've been busy!

Craig, I bought a trunk for my bike and the lights didn't work when I tried them.
I wrote a negative review and he emailed me and refunded my money... did not want me to ship it back to him and gave me an armored motorcycle jacket (the racing kind) and some shin guards (for motocross which I could not use) so it worked out pretty good.
I rewired the lights and put LEDs in it instead, which was a great improvement, and it worked out pretty cool.

I've been having pretty bad luck on Amazon recently. I ordered a kilt from a very good maker recently, one that I ordered from before. The color and size that I wanted was only available from a different seller and for cheaper. No biggie. Third party vendors selling cheaper is quite common. Then I got a shipping notice from FedEx saying the package was coming straight from Pakistan. Also no biggie. I knew for a fact that the kilts were made in Pakistan. I first was worried when the package was so small. What was inside was a horrible blatant fake. I immediately filled a complaint and the vendor immediately refunded my money without asking for the item to be returned.

I'm behind on my plaiting. I decided that I better not plait while I'm in a bad mood as it will probably transfer to my whip. When I get back from Alcatraz I'll need to go full bore on finishing the Arizona whip inbetween all of my meetings. Then I'll continue on with my South Dakota whip. I just ordered the perfect concho for it.

It's actually not a concho, but it's going in the end of the antler.

My cutters and cutters.

So this was weird. There was a lump in one of my strands. I had to cut it open to find out that there was a bunch of pieces of guts inside. I had no leftover yellow, so I had to splice it back together with the hopes that I can drop that strand before the splice.

Twenty plait crown start. Yikes.

This is a hard start with spliced cord and starting at the transition. I'm going to have to do two transition knots with a collar inbetween. I'll do the collar in copper since Arizona is big in copper mining.

Craig, nice square start with 10 strands.
It looks like it'll work out nicely.

Square. Not crown. I keep getting the names backwards.
