Roy, that's awesome- I think that might possibly be my favorite of yours. The crimson really does go great with the bocote, and the medallion sets it off perfectly :)

Roy, that wouldn't be the last one you're making, so i'm sure you'll be able to make one for keeps in future.

@ Roy Partin:

The new whip that you have made looks very stylish Mr. Partin !!!
I like those indivdual deatails that put on each of your whips like in this case the medallion of the state of florida and how you mach a certain type of wood to the color of the thong. The diffrent layers of the wooden handle look very eyecatching as well (I love it) !!!
Brilliant work Mr. Partin !!!

All the best
Ben

Thank you men. I am honored that you like this one. Philbert, that has been the plan for years but it never seems to happen.

Finished this black 12 footer last night. This is going to a cowboy friend for daily use. It features the new Jatoba wood handle I am trying. So far, I love the weight, hardness and red hue of this wood

Is that the kind of wood you made my handle with? It looks the same. I love it. I show it to everyone who will look.

No mam, yours is Gonçalo Alves. Gonçalo is a little lighter and easier to turn but I like them both. Thank you

Roy, when you say you love the weight is it more or less dense than goncalo or bloodwood? I'm going to be needing some red hued handles soon, have you tried burning on it yet?

That's very beautiful, I really like the Jatoba myself. Well done on that beefy beast
