Forgot to add, maybe make the handle look like a Puuko knife handle.

Hmm i dont know if the traditional oval handle shape would work :/ but maybe i could do something for that wood section but i have no idea what. I tought about some spiralling grooves but i dont know..

Make it from curly birch with the brass ferrule at the top, maybe a bit of a "hook" on the butt.

As i finally got to give that final roll on my whip and some test cracks, witch was hard as the handle is not complete and it still turns, i am not happy with the transition area.
I began to think that as it has only two bellyes wich are all bound tight, maybe i should make third belly for it on the outside. I measured it today and instead of 10ft it is 12ft.
What kind of craks you should be able to do with whip that long? Flicks works well but thats that.

You might be able to do the over head cattle man's crack. Have you tried target cracking?

Basically you can do them all , but very slowly.
It's a matter of getting used to it.
Volleys and faster cracks like the fast figure 8 are very difficult though.

A whip that long is not made for fast cracking at all.

Ok, once you finish the handle you whip will probably work a little better.

Jyri, I really hope those plants are not your wife's flowers. Hitting 'The Flowers' could be potentially dangerous.
