Very nice looking, Rachel. I brought the whip that you made for my Little Man with me today and received many compliments on the fine job you did with it. Thank you again!

I think all the donations whips look great so far - except my contribution! As I hope I made clear, I think this is 'interesting' - and potentially 'fun' - rather than 'good'.

Mr. Robert, it is a very original contribution I believe. It will make some whip owner very happy. As you said, it is a project. It can be helped.

In progress, time to get it ready to crack. Its owner has been very patient (Thank you!!!).
It is charcoal gray.....
And the wood for the handle will be beautiful.
I'm headed to the shop to trim some to go in the vise.

What kind of wood will you be using for the handle, Rachel?

Scott, the plan is bloodwood...

Bloodwood... I know that it's called that name, because of the red color it takes, when you sand and file it. But why not "Rasberry Wood", or "Cherry Red Wood"...? Wouldn't that sound very much nicer that "Bloodwood"? The same with the "Blood knot". It seems that the guy who named those things is - or was - a huge Star Trek fan. Sounds all very Klingon to me

Robby, it's actual name is "Satine" wood. That sounds much less Klingon to me.
Satine and charcoal grey are going to be beautiful together. Keep them coming lady

Oh yeah, that sounds more friendly to me

Thanks for the explanation, Roy!

Thank you, Roy! And thank you for always helping me find just the right kind of supply I need for a whip when I need it. That makes all the difference!
Robby, Satine would be more like Shakespeare in Klingon, perhaps?
