Great to see you Rhett! Looking at your work is always a humbling experience for me. I love that red/black&white job...Gorgeous!!!
On a side note me and the boy's still use Cordell's whips occasionally and I must report that they have held up fine despite some "Rough" use :)
Regards, Guy

Been a little while since I last posted one...

This is an 8ft, 16 plait bullwhip with the upgraded grip and a ferrule. Decided to go with just a ring knot below the ferrule and no knots on top of it. Used a little JB Weld to secure it. :)

Rhett, this looks great! A classic case of 'less is more'! :)

Gotta agree with Robert here, that is pretty cool. Sometimes changing just a small detail makes a big effect. Definitely one of my favorites from you, great job!

I don't like the wrist loop too much. But the idea with the "one knot" ferrule is a very good one. Not more and more stuff, but less. Looks very interesting and new!

Really nice! I like this one a lot. I was going to mention the knot...but then I read about the JB weld.

Very nice work Rhett, I like the single knot with the ferrule, it works quite well and gives the illusion of the handle being thinner than the thong, or is it? which balances everything visually.
Nice work on the turkshead too, very tidy.

Been a while since I've anything interesting to post. Here's my latest side project. Not an original idea, but I've wanted to do this for years. I turned a Padauk/Oak laminated wood blank on the lathe and adapted the end for a keeper instead of standard cow whip cup. The stockwhip thong was one I had lying around that I made too short for an old order I did. It worked out well and cracked like its supposed to. Sent it to a friend in Lousiana.

The lighter colour has an almost feminine sillouhette aspect to it. Nice.
