Looking good Craig. That's a nice way to keep them out of the way until you trim them.
Is that going to be a snake whip?

Looks good, Craig, that's a good idea!

And- that's one NICE overlay, red and white, it's sharp looking!!! Can't wait to see the finished product!

One question Craig.
Are you going to trim them off at staggering lengths to help promote the taper or at the same length ?
I am considering doing double drops my self on WII .

Ron - it's a bull whip. I did trim them at different lengths, but only about 3/4".

Finished product. I'm not happy with the heel knot. I tried going without the plastic dip with mixed results. I am quite happy with the transition knot. It's the first time the I was able to make a knot without watching the video. I do have a bit of a hinge on the last foot where the waxed hockey tape ends. I think it will even out with use. It seems to crack fine.

Waiting for the Scotchguard to dry.

Finally getting to work on the second belly of Franken-whip.

Please by all means you designed the thunderstorm!

Looking good Craig (the whip offcourse), I quite like the "tiger" pattern (saw some picture somewhere naming this
pattern "Tiger", which seems appropriate).

Craig, that red and white really does look stylish! The whole thing looks more professional than anything you've done so far - at least to my eye. Well done!

I too like the pattern with the colors!

You seem to be steadily improving also on the quality of plaiting, taper etc. : )

Nice!

I had to go back and count for my own edification. Red and white was number 18 and now I'm working on 19, which is a camo whip for another co-worker. I finished all the under layers and just need to do the overlay and finishing parts.

Nice! You're really improving.

And for anyone wondering if these whips are as beefy as they look, I have only one thing to say. They totally are. I'm not kidding here. I know I'm used to whips on the light side, but it's not just that. Craig's whips will give your arm a workout and absolutely atomize soft crackers in no time.

Thank you, Grant and Pokkis. Maybe I'll name my whips Thunderstrike.

So I'm plaiting whip number 19 and I think I found a reason where you must do single strands drops. This whip is camouflage and OD green. Like I've mentioned before, camouflage paracord is heavier and wider than single color, even when it's made by the same manufacturer. Since I'm dropping strands now when things get too crowded instead of when they run out, I noticed that when I went to drop the second strand on the camouflage side, the OD side wasn't even close to being ready. So I plaited that side for another three inches or so before I dropped it. Then, just as soon as I dropped the second OD strand, the third camouflage strand was ready to be dropped.

Wow dude,
that's quite a jump compared to all your last whips. The seams are pretty straight, the pattern is beautiful and it breaks down really well to the end, you didn't loose control of the pattern when you dropped strands.
The taper is the nicest I've seen on your whips yet I think. Still looks quite chunky, but the taper isn't as sudden, it's even through the entire length of the whip.

Right down to the red fall and white cracker, ......
nice work.
