Roger, they do look like long falls, but on whips this short (5 foot?) it makes sense to me. Bobbi, are these falls about 30 inches?
Hmmm, interesting. Fall length is someting I'm not clear on. I'll post up in 'questions' for a discussion!

What can I say... The same I say all the time. Great work. Great art! Mario has an amazing good feeling for color combinations! The copper handle with the brown tones is beautiful and smooth. Excellent choice. I wish, I could imagine those combinations.

Roger, the falls are 3 foot and a little weighted. They are made so that they can be shortened quite easily if needed. The whips are 6 foot. I believe that the falls on all of my whips are a bit longer than the average nylon. (I'm a rule breaker like that) ;) I get good feed back about them, so I keep doing it.

Bobbi, I realise it's the long handles that made me guess a 5' length for Mario's whips. But wow - 3 foot falls! They'd need to be a bit weighted at that length. I often use longish falls, but have never tried one that long. (I will, though!)

Wow indeed! Thanks Bobbi. I'll get that 'fall length' thread started. Looks like there's stuff to find out.

Anthony was the first one to ask for such a long fall and then Robby needed one. I thought that if those two men, in particular, like the fall that way that it needed a closer look. My short whips have 2.5 ft fall and everything else is 3 ft.

Bobbi, you make a great, great job. The show whips look so fantastic, wow. :) :) :) :)
Now it is very hard for me to wait until the whips will arrive at my home and I can do the first cracks.

Best wishes,
Mario

The pictures are great. And now I'm more than curious on the 6 ft. show whip. The black one with the neon orange fall is mine. Okay - who else orders a signal orange fall...? ;)

Gorgeous pair of whip and wonderful photos. What exactly is the color of the brown one Bobbi?

The brown one is walnut, acid brown and tan fall. The walnut of the overlay is lighter than other spools I have gotten from EL Wood before. I don't know if I'll ever get that exact color again, but I like it.

Walnut? Wow, it looks nothing like the Walnut I've recieved in the past which has always been a rich red brown. I do like it though.

I looked at their color chart, and the handle photo in particular looks a lot more like Khaki or Coyote.

In person it isn't that much different in color level but is missing the red undertone. I actually called EL WOOD and they are sending me a new spool for free and letting me keep this one too. There is variation from batch to batch and I understand that, but I think maybe they missed something in the mix. This color is a lot warmer than the coyote which has kind of a green undertone and it is darker and more rich than the khaki... they should make a new color and run with it! I actually LOVE the color and I think I'll name it Mario. :)
