Eric, I think this shape will work much better for you.

As predicted/suggested the new heel turned out much better. After attempting multiple different knots, I did have to build it up a little with hockey tape to get one to work. I now know what size and shape to start with next time. Just needs some wax and a cracker and I'm calling it done.
