Now you've compared it to the Stones, I don't like that snakewhip. I love it :P. The Stones are one of my favourite bands

Those are wonderful Gio! I too love the snake head hitch- I would love to try out an 8 foot roohide snake one day.

And the pineapple knot on the old whip is outstanding!

Thank you so much Tyler, the snake knot is really a great knot! Is a "must have" for a snake whip :-)

He have a customed Harley-Davidson, here two pics of the whip.
The second pic is a saddlebags for the snake whip made by the customer.

The first picture made me cringe, I envisioned the whip coming loose and getting caught in the spokes. The saddlebags are a good idea!

Gio, for me these photos also convey a particularly Italian kind of élan, which is most attractive. Very nice indeed! :)

Magnificent work Mr. Celeste - that snakewhip looks superb !!!

I apologize for beeing late to the party but I have to post a comment on the previous work which you have shown in this thread:

The flexible handle whip from post #167 blows my mind - the look as well as the performance of this whip is stunning and it clearly shows how versatile your craftsmanship skills are !!!

All of the other whips are also made to perfection - the black bullwhip with your Celeste trademark in the heel knot and the snakewhip with the beautiful snakehitch caught my eye in particular.

It's always ajoy to see pictures of your work - thank you very much for sharing !!!

All the best
Ben

Hi All,
here we are with another whip.
This whip was designed for an italian customer winemaker.
He asked me to design a whip which have the warm, wrap-around shades like a good old wine.
So here my attempt:
The whip is 8' long
the handle was plaited in bird's eye pattern and the two knots are Gaucho Knot 7L6B (2passes).
To reach the final shade color I dyed the same strands, overlapping on the same strands different color blends.
I hope you like it!!
Many thanks in advance
Gio
