Robert thank you :) it's taken a lot of experimenting and a few 'lightbulb' moments but I think I have a process that works now.

Great job on both, but the leather looking one is super.
I had to look twice.

Whip #40 (there was a budget I didn't photograph) is certainly a milestone whip! This beast is 20ft long with a 4ft tapered fall, a 13" handle brass ferrule, 3 bellies and a 16 plait overlay.
This was a custom whip for Pete Gamble from 'A Handful of Hats' and he is very happy with the final product (as an I :) )
I took it out for a few test cracks before I posted it and it cracks beautifully, it is also the loudest whip I've ever cracked from a simple sidearm crack!

What a beast.
Not a fan of the colors, but that's just me.
Good job.

That's fantastic, Ross! The colours are not really for me, either - but I always like whips that can be called a beast, as Ron does this one! :)

I must admit I wouldn't have chosen those colours for myself either
When I asked what colours he just said nothing dark like black etc as it needs to stand out on stage.........I think I met his requirements perfectly with the bright green fall! thankfully he loves the colours as I don't think I've got it in me to make another beast just yet!
