This is astonishing, Jessie!
After waiting to see if I could work out the meaning of 'Kraken' from the context - and finding I couldn't - I've now resorted to Google. All I can say is 'Golly!' This really is the stuff of nightmares! Well, of mine, at least....
But this is very beautifully executed. As I said, astonishing!

I struggled with putting this in the art section or here; however, since this does pertain to my business and ultimately, my message of heath through whipcracking, I am going to post here. As everyone knows, I have been going to school for some time for graphic design--logos and symbols being my favorite. I decided to utilize the tools I have at my disposal to make a line of swag for my whipmaking business. I'm a firm believer that looking good makes you feel good, which is why I make my whips the way I do. Beauty is motivation. I am no stranger to hip scarves and pretty hair do dads to wear while I practice, so here we go. I have coffee mugs, leggings, shirts, blankets, pillows, phone cases and in the process came up with a whip couple that represents Sui Generis Whips well. I'm still thinking of a name for my people.
Swag store:

And a couple examples:
This one changes according to what "thing" the design is on:
And I have a guy and girl version of everything

For couples
And some fitness inspiration
An oldie, but goody
'MERICA!!!! Because...'Merica.
More to come.

Up until now my favourite handle you've made had been your "Willow", but that Kraken has stolen a place in my heart, I don't have words for how incredibly awesome that thing is, and I'm supremely jealous of the lucky lucky individual who winds up with it in their collection.

So, you all know my story and why I make whips. I really want to continue to do this with the intention of creating whips for exercise, but as everyone knows, it all has to start somewhere. I have a special concern for people who are super morbidly obese. People who find it painful to stand, who don't exercise because they think they can't. People like the old me. I was lucky enough to be able to stand and crack whips in short spurts, but some people are genuinely chair bound and this is where my idea came from: Short whips that can be used while seated in a chair and used either in the house or outside. Big deal, a short whip is pretty easy to come by, yes. I am assuming any whip will do, but when I made these, my intention was to give them a certain weight to allow them to be a little more heavy at the heel since there is no leverage that would be present by a standing body. The weight then travels lightly all the way down giving you a heel-heavy smooth whip that should be well balanced to a seated person. Here is my prototype.
3 foot 7 inches long, twisted taper core, weighted and tightly sinew bound, a hockey tape bolster with more weight (I use lead fishing line) and sinew bound, then a 12-plait overlay in 325.
