Why, Mr. Martin! If nylon had not been invented there's several of us that would never know the pleasure of plaiting. I rejoice in the fact that I can now plait a respectable whip, thanks to paracord.

I just assumed that sore hands were part of the game! Doesn't matter if it is paracord or dacron.
I want to try Roo but I think you get a better price than we can in Canada.

Sorry Terry, but not sure if you realized I was joking about the nylon. I'm pleased that it gives everyone the chance of plaiting.
Kind Regards

.

This is not a post by Simon himself, but I have some pictures of his work in my library. Beautiful and unusual patterns. All in Roohide! And here they are - enjoy!

Whoa, awesome! As Bobbi already said, those are all pieces of art. Usually those kinds of whips don't appeal to me that much, but there's something about these that really please the eye.

Curious combinations, but well executed. I would be hesitant to crack any of them, they are too pretty. The last pair is my favorite of the bunch.

Amazing! I always knew Simon did beautiful work, but never knew how beautiful till I saw these. If only I could be that creative.

Thanks everyone and thanks Robby. Some of those whips were done way back but nice to see them all together. I think they are all the 3 tones ones I've ever done.

I finished a pair of 2 tones whips today with an interesting pattern I discovered. Probably been done before, but I'll email it to Robby as he seems to be able to get the photo't to show here. Something I just can't seem to do!

G'day Devin. The handle is 16plait and the strands are alternating on each side. Believe it or not, it is actually Robby's favourite Bird's Eye braid, but when using alternating colours this is the pattern in produces. Tyler....plenty of things I cannot do I assure you :)

Ps. Thanks Robby for putting the picture up.
