Looks good, Jyri - but I'd prefer a bigger heel knot. (That's just personal preference....)

Thanks Robert!
I binded some waxed thread to give it little bulge in the middle. I havent really finded out what kind of size I like.

Juri, I think the right size depends on how big your hands are!

So.. I went out to do some cracking and there is two problems.
1. Handle is bit too long
2. Heel knot is moving, the knot not the foundation.
Handle is easy, but should I take a shortcut and put some super glue thru the knot or what? It is tight and its not going anywhere but as you hold it spins around the foundation. Advice?

Jyri, it sounds like the foundation is too small for the knot.
I believe if the knot moves it won't be long before it comes off.
It would probably be best to redo it to fit tightly and you'll be a lot happier for it.

Yes indeed and it will help make the next one easier.
Be sure to take measurements and notes to refer back to later on for the next one.

Looks great Jyri, shame about the knot. I'd say make the knot a little smaller, or else the foundation bigger

Thanks matt! I is easier to make it bigger becose the steel concho.

I took 2,5inches off the handle and test it later

So when I craked this whip for some time it came to me: either Adam Winrich has superhuman strength or my whip is too heavy. I tryed to make new thong wich is lighter, and it came out great! And when I got it done I took the first one and took it apart, made same chances to its core and belly and it came out just as good!

It was nearly impossible to get thru the keeper but I managed to do it. Now its light and fast! And I made it while I was in nightshift I get paid doing it

There is a big difference between stockwhips and bullwhips, mostly diameter and weight. A stockwhip should be long and thin.
Tight keepers can be a challenge. I have a strip of leather about 17mm wide that I use to hold the keeper on when making the thong. The keeper is snug but not tight around this strip. I use about the same width for the handle's keeper and they are slightly snug when joined. It also depends upon how thick the keepers are. A single keeper is fine, double keepers snug. I two toned thong had 3 keepers - the belly and 2 for the overlay. It was too snug so I cut the first belly keeper out. It didn't affect the whip at all as the overlay was bound onto the belly with sinew.
Overall looking good!

Both thongs look good Jyri, and I'm glad you got it sorted out weight-wise. Stockwhips are finicky buggers compared to bullwhips :P
