It's gorgeous, Roy. One lucky little lady is going to be very pleased. Well done!

That is definitely a typical Roy Partin whip. Strong, powerful yet elegant and precise.
And a very lucky rodeo queen!

Thank you all very much. I can't wait to see her reaction when she receives it. One new thing I tried on this whip is a cracker I made from B-50 Dacron string. It seems durable and resistant to tangles

Those colours have turned out really well together, Roy. A fitting adornment for a rodeo queen.

Thank y’all very much!
Jessie it is B50 bowstring I ordered from an archery shop. I think it was Lancaster or
3 Rivers. Doubt I can get it cheaper than them

Looks really beautiful and MASSIVE :)
I assume this this type of whip is used more with the whole arm rather than a flick of the wrist?!
And if it’s for a rodeo queen - are there contests in whipcracking in rodeo?
I know whipcracking as a sport/show is huge in Australia with official championships etc. but don’t really know about the US.

I love making Christmas whips for kids. This one is going to Florida for an 11 year old cowboy. Its 8 feet and 14 plait in Chocolate Brown with an Electric Blue highlight. The Bocote handle is 17" and has his M-bar brand. I am finding that 14 plait has the perfect weight for a working whip.

That's terrific, Roy! ... If I'd been give a whip like that at the age of 11, I would have thought I'd died and gone to heaven! :)
