Thank you Ben ! :)
I am frustrated but excited about it.
I keep thinking that I am not ready for this but I also think that
the first time is the first time no matter when you do something like this.
I will never be "ready" for the first time until the first time is now.
It's now.

Jessie and Bobbi have helped me a lot and I have to give credit to them for that much
needed help.
They have so much going on in their lives and still take the time and patience to help.
Thank you Ladies. :) <3

I've helped? I've cheered. Chubby cheerleaders are epic motivators. :) Rah rah!

This is the setup I am using to hold the handle / thong.
I have a belt on which I use to hook it to my waist for a little tension.
It does support it and leaves my two hands free.
This method was suggested and demonstrated by Lasse in a previous post.
So far I like it.

The plaiting looks really nice and straight. What happened to the sinew though, it looks so fuzzy.

Looks very nice Ron! I think that the new setup will bode well for your plaiting, which looks spot on!

I wonder if it isn't fuzzy simply because he really has dismantled this whip many times according to the thread. ? Yeah?

Philbert, I have started over so many times that the sinew is suffering from " sinew abuse " syndrome.

Ron, i didn't know that the sinew would fuzz up so much. Thought it would be just a little bit.

Philbert, well, this is the fourth or fifth day I have been attempting this and I have forgotten how many times I had to undo and do again.
I guess it takes it toll on the poor sinew.

Ron, damn, i hope you manage to get it right soon. I think you could try using beeswax to help manage the fuzz a bit for the time being, so that it doesn't get worse.

Ron, sometimes when I have a hard one, I feel like it is easier to break it down into numbered pairs. That way I don't get lost in all the unders and overs. All I have to remember is what number I am on. Left 1, right 1, left 2, right 2. Does that make sense?

That does make sense Bobbi.
Thank you so much. :)

I am starting on the top of the image of the pattern and it's a lot more complicated than U1 O1. :D

Its' going to be worth it because this whip is going to have 'power' .
Not a power that can be quantified by decibels or length, but a power that is inside me.
It's getting really exciting to say the least. :) It's going to be freakin' awesome!
What I am learning alone is going to be great.

Woo! This is awesome, Ron! I love these whip-making threads, so neat seeing one of these get pieced together. Plus, everyone is putting in some great input! So much knowledge around here

Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see the finished product!

Ron, One more tiny tip... If you put the string that is holding your whip to the hook on the front of the whip (facing you) instead of on the back like in the picture, It will help you keep it straighter. Not only will it wobble less, if you line it up with the center line of the whip, it will give you a visual to see if you are twisting at all.

I'm really loving your colors by the way!

Thank you so much Bobbi. I never would have thought of that.
I can see how that would help keep things straight.
I think I finally have things going my way, maybe.
Thank you for all your help knowing how much adversity you are going through right now it means a lot to me. :)
