This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

This new Gallery replaces the former "Masters Gallery", which will work from now on as pure archive. Here you will find not only the work and art from folks who sell whips, but also from folks, who create their whips out of pure passion. And we have an additional gallery. It is called "The Gallery - Making of".

@ Rachel McCollough:

I love the new whip that you've made Mrs. McCollough !!!
The "yellowish" color of the knob is a perfect match for the thong, it has a beatiful grain and it's sanded to perfection !!!
The color setup of the thong looks very stylish especialy with the changing pattern and the precision of your plaiting is out of this word - WOW !!!

All the best
Ben

Ben, David, thanks! I like the very hard wood for hand finishing, the softer woods don't seem to take as good a finish (by hand, I mean!). Thank y'all.

Hi Rachel. I'm fascinated by your work. I like very much the last black and yellow. Now you 're a great whipmaker, how long does it take you to make a whip ?

Hi Christophe, good to see you! Thank you very much, sir.
Depending on my other work schedule I would say anywhere from 2-3 days on a whip like the black and yellow one. For a 12 plait single belly up to 8 ft with a hand made handle, 1-2 days, depending on time constraints from other work.

Hardly worth showing maybe but here it is, one of six 6' whips I made recently. Simple Plain Jane, but all business.

6' 12 plait rust cow whip with a handcut ash handle. All paracord from https://whip-nation.myshopify.com

Sometimes it's more work to create something simple, than something which is flashy and screaming. Because it is very hard to cover up mistakes on a simple design. That whip looks like a true working whip. Not more. But not less...

Rachel, it's like some women who want to dress up.
They ask , "What should I wear?" and the answer that will come up more often than not is the "Little Black Dress". It's simple and plain but but elegant and you can't beat the classic beauty of it.

That whip is definitely a simple beauty. :)

Thank you Robby, that's it exactly. A working whip, solid, straight to it :) no more, no less, just business.

Thank you, Mr. Robert! Roy recently got it in stock at WN and I'm very happy with it. It is fairly wide, it is very soft on the hands to plait and seems to plait nice and tight. I really like it.
