You could try this (http://www.paracordguild.com/make-paracord-sword-wrap/) over top the handle, if you space it out more it will give the look you are wanting. Though you might want to sew it in place at the intersections.

That's looking very good Jyri. The whip already looks smooth and tight. And how better the basis. The better the overlay. Looking forward to it.

Jyri, it looks like you're getting that "cross" look you were going for.
Good job, it's looking swell.

Thank you! I'm not sure how to plait rest of the whip. Maybe I should try to switch from herringbone to u1o1 from time to time?

So Cool. I love the Finnish flag look on the handle.

Yes, you could do the whipmaker's plait or herringbone, and occasionally switch to checkerboard to bring out the flag again.

Jyri, those colors make for a very striking whip. I am definitely a fan.

Jyri, if/when you drop strands, try to drop them on the same side/time below or above the two blue strands, you should be able to do the checkerboard thing if you do that! ^_^ Looks good~

Thank you!
Brandon do you mean double drops?

Jyri, double drops work as well, but as long as your single drops happen on the same side of a blue layer, your two strand cross-over should be retained ^_^
