I just send another order on it's way. Hopefuly it will arrive at it's destination before Xmas.
The customer wanted to have a very lightweighted black 6 footer with an 6 point Enlish Eye and an 16 plait overlay (2 Bellies).
Anohter guideline was that the Heel Knot should have a diameter of 3 cm (=1,18 inches), a Herringbone pattern on the entire whip and no transition Knot (Hidden Handle Bullwhip).
All the best

Good job Ben.
That heel knot, looks so very close to your target diameter.
The verniers show almost spot on perfect for the heel knot.

That's not easy to do.
Well done.

I guess it’s the „simple“ whips where true craftsmanship really shows...

An older whip build from 2017: 5,5 foot Bullwhip with 3 plaited bellies (8 plait,12 plait and 16 plait), English Eye and an 20 plait overlay. The whip is very heavy for a 5,5 footer and the thong is very, very nose-heavy.
The specs make this whip very good for flick-techniques.
All the best

Ben, thanks for the pic. It is interesting what the weight distribution do. I hope to ohave the opportunity to crack some of your whips one day even though I like the longer ones if it is cracks over my head. The tip is further away from my head, when it goes wrong

Very nice work, Ben.
I fluctuate between liking thin light-weight whips and heavier ones. Depends on the mood I'm in and how sore my wrists are. I am also finding, though that in either form, I've come to like whips that are a little weighted towards the heel, though. Seems to make it easier for me to control.

Flemming, if there will be another Meet&Greet, you a certainly welcome to try my whips
Mark, same here. Most of my personal practice whips are rather on the light-weighted side, but I do enjoy the perfomance of heavy whips too.
