I can imagine working with the blend of old with new was a little challenging and fiddly.

Thank you, Ron! It took around 30 minutes to look everything over and make a plan. About an hour of plaiting and it was fixed, then of course the waxing. I just dropped strands and added strands as needed to meld the new in.
