Here’s a whip I finished a little while ago, 16 plait 6’ two plaited bellies and twisted taper core with brown and gold. Cumaru handle.
Currently working on some whips that go to Germany.
Hagen assisted with the photos and insisted to take a picture of me holding the whip. He did a good job. He made me put a flower behind my ear.

Rachel, every time I see your avatar with Jerry I have to smile. How's that dear dog doing?

Mr. Robert, he must be feeling like a spring chicken because he brought me a stick to throw for him a few days ago! He dearly loves to play.

I know this is supposed to be what I make, but I must show you the leather projects my mom and my dad have recently been creating. They live 1,300 miles away from me.
Wallets my mom has tooled.
My dad at the stitching pony they built, stitching the lining on a belt my mom tooled. Note all of the flowers... she grew most of them from cuttings or seed.
The belt after stitching. They just started making leather pieces a little while ago. The quilt top in the background... my mom hand quilts, too.
Dad has trained horses, worked a sawmill, built many things by hand, and planted trees. They both have so many talents. It is so neat to see them embark on a new art and hobby together!!!

Rachel, you come by your talents honestly. Multi talented people are so unique. It's like being a modern day Renaissance couple.
I can guarantee they will never be bored.
I love the leather work. It must smell like leather heaven around there.

Rachel, I am impressed, that you also want to start leather projects. Gitte loves the flowers and I got the inspiration for a better stitching pony than my present one. He's a clever guy your dad

. I don't think I will never learn to tool a piece of leather like that. Here is no one to ask , so Gitte bought me Al Stohlmans book of sewing in leather (from Simon Martins shop

)
