Hello friends,
some weeks ago, I got my new bullwhip made by Simon Martin.
The bullwhip is 6 1/2 ft., 16 plait with a 12 inch handle and a beautiful brass ferrule.
The color of the whip is whiskey.
This bullwhip is excellent for target work and very, very easy to crack, I have so much fun with it.
I have to say many thanks to Simon Martin he makes a brilliant job. ;)

Last year at the same time I got a 6ft. stock whip with a brass ferrule and the color whiskey from Simon Martin.

And here are some more whip pictures. ;)

Enjoy it.

Mario, those are GREAT whips! And the photos are great, too! :)

I think 6 and 1/2 feet is an excellent all-purpose length for a bullwhip. I like it better than 6 foot: it rolls out that little bit better, but is still short enough for precision target work.

Hey Mario, that are two awesome whips. A lot of phantastic braided details and both have a nice shape. I´m a friend of plain coloured whips, because it shows more of this. Wish you very much fun with this beautys!

Oh Mario, my breath literally caught in my chest. How beautiful. The pictures too. The vignette with the whiskey and cigar is my favorite... I love the thing on the end of the heel knot. Is there meaning behind the number on that brass thing? I'm sorry I just don't know what that is called. If there is a name for it please tell me.

Great as usual. Simon is a fantastic whip maker. And a good friend. But - you missed to answer Jesse's question.

Jessica, the number at the brass that is on the end of the heel knot shows us how many bullwhips and how many stock whips Simon Martin has made. :)

The bullwhip is number: 170

The stock whip is number: 118

All the best,

Mario

I suspected as much. Do you know how awesome that is? At some point, the lower that number is, the more collectible and valuable the work. The fact that stamp is even there really says something about the excellence of the piece. Oh, how awesome is that?

Wow, those are stunning- I like the idea of a set that isn't matched exactly, but has the same theme. Congratulations to you on the acquisition Mario, and to Simon, for another beautiful whip :)
