Hello, all.

If anyone wants to experiment with making handles from them, I have a number of used golf club shafts that I'd be willing to send to someone (preferably in the US, so we don't have to worry about customs, etc.). Most are made from graphite/carbon fiber, but some are chrome plated steel. They taper from about .600" down to either .370" or .335" at the small end. Lengths are from about 35" up to at most about 40".

If you want them, please send me a PM with your address and I'll get them out to you. I ask only that you cover the shipping costs, which should be about $15-20.

Scott, that is a very generous offer.
You can't even buy one shaft + shipping for $20.

I don't have any plans for something like this, but for those who are wanting to build a stock whip or a tapered handled whip, these would be ideal.

I would absolutely love to get some to experiment with, but unfortunately I am in Australia, way way far away from you :P but that is a very generous offer! ^_^

Sparky, if no one from the US bites in the next couple of days, I'll look into what it would take to ship them to Australia.

Just as I got them, I had an amazing idea for some of these, but for now, I'll keep it a secret ;) There will definitely be a build thread when I'm able to start work on these though~

At about the same time you were posting this, I was down in my basement wondering if you had gotten them yet. That's some spooky stuff, but according to my parents I've been doing that sort of thing since I was a kid. Kinda makes you wonder, huh? I hope you enjoy them and I can't wait to see what you make out of them. Good luck!

Hahaha what a coincidence! I've often found that when I'm at uni, sometimes I just get a feeling and wonder when a package would be arriving at my house, and then suddenly I get home and it's there! :O

I definitely plan to use them to their fullest - I even found a supplier of tapered rods here should I use all of yours, but they're a bit thicker and much more expensive ;)

Can't wait to work with these!!
