7 ft, 2 belly, 16 plait bull whip, 8 inch handle, English eye fall hitch, chocolate brown and rust. Nothing fancy, I just wanted to work on making a solid whip, straight seams, no gaps, nice even taper, good looking transitions,no bumps (to speak of, anyway) and a nice smooth rollout. I was so proud of the transitions I decided not to put a knot over it.

Mark, it appears that you've met each of your goals. That is a sharp looking whip. I agree that the transition looks better without a knot in this case. Well done!

Jyri, your meticulousness on the last two whips you made inspired me to try to step up my game! Yes, the English eye is a 3 strand flat braid in to a6 strand plait. My last few whips seemed a little light at the end using a 4 plait and this is just another experiment to try to remedy that. I tried ending one a few months ago with an 8 plait but it was just too thick and stiff with paracord. I also added the new strands a little earlier than I have been.

Sparky, thanks,my hands and wrists are a bit stiff and sore this morning. I had gotten up to a 12 plait and was not happy with the seams and took it completely apart and restarted. I probably could have started the diamond plait a little later but I really wanted the give the barber pole effect a little room to develop.

Thanks you Ron and Roy, I'll see if I can make a video today. It's supposed to be less windy today so the camera won't shake so bad.
