Not sure about the 'dissolve' effects between shots tbh, Jessie. I had to drop out of the Tesla video 'cos the swirl was making my head spin! Perhaps a more simple fade out/fade in might be better. Just a thought.

You definitely have your own style. One look and I could tell that, "Yep, that's a Jessie whip."

To have a recognizable style that is all your own, which is hard to do, and you have done that in spades.

I love the look of the serving. The colors are well picked - very pleasant to the eye
as is the layout of the elements. Do you think the knot on the start of the thong
has an effect to the handling of the whip?

One thing I must say what I would like to see is more turk's head types in your repertoire : )

Erik, I'll do my best to find a different finishing knot that I like. Pineapple knots are not visually pleasant to me. They don't go well with my design. You can't have something that busy crown something busy, even when it's monochromatic. It takes away from the focal area that I aim to draw the eye to. They are lovely on a plain handle. It's kind of like, framing Picasso's Guernica with a heavily gilded frame. Your eyes would cross and you would completely miss the point of Guernica because your eye keeps falling on the intricate goings on of the frame. Mine would. This is why I don't use a more intricate knot when I want the eye to focus on the handle. Maybe one day I will find something I like. Until then, Turk's heads are clean and unobtrusive. The khaki pants to my Hawaiian shirt.

The low transition knot adds weight to the start of the throw. It's easy enough to work around. It's a little different on the upswing. Also, after my original whip with that particular knot, I changed up the transition structure at the core level to offer more support, which gives the overall whip a couple few ounces of extra heft. I wouldn't say its a problem or that if affects the performance, but it's a decorative feature that you should be aware of. Kind of like the dangling strings on a cow whip, or a hook on the heel of a stock whip. It's there, but it really doesn't affect much.

Very nicely done! Excellent color choices that you don't see everyday on a whip - another Jessie whip standing out from the crowd.

There is one thing, I absolutely dislike about that whip. But one after the other... The overall design makes it a bit slower, which is excellent for a beginner or somebody who's going to do target work. Why "excellent"? Well, you have those knots at the handle in a straight row. And that that row is (at least it seems to me) in a line with the curve. That means, when you lay the handle into your hand that the knots rest in the line of your finger joints, you will be able to hold that whip every single time exactly the same way and position. Which is simply awesome for target work. Because the whip will always follow the same line.

What I dislike, is the fact, that I was more than interested in that whip and I saw on your homepage that it's already sold... So - just in case you do something like that again, please let me know at least one hour before you put it onto your homepage, okay? But mind the time difference!
