Hello dudes and dudettes!
Been some radio silence from my part, but I'm still alive and have cracked Roger's whip. Sorry, no video, but I'm not that photogenic anyways
As said above, the whip is a pretty heavy snakewhip. Maybe even a bit too heavy for my taste, but I have very little experience with snakewhips in general, so it's likely that they would all feel strange to me. This one cracks pretty easily, but trying to do flicks or just about any kind of crack combinations ended up with me saying "Perkele". Again, that's probably mostly because of my skills or lack thereof, since snakewhips aren't really beginner friendly. And for single cracks it worked just good. Even my friend got it the first try, and his experience with whips is limited to a couple of cracks with my Yellow Bastard.
There's just one thing. The plaiting right before the fall hitch is very loose, and I have to redo it a bit. It's mostly just an appearance issue now, but might turn into a point of failure with time and use.
To put it short, I like it. Thanks again, Roger!

Thanks so much for that Pokkis. The whip IS weighted all the way down to the fall - I confess it's the first time I have ever done this so sorry for experimenting on you! I'm still playing around with different total weights. It seems that I may be over-doing it on the BBs down the middle.
The issue at the fall hitch where the plaiting is loose and needed redoing has also occurred on one of my earlier whips which only came to light a week or so ago when I went out for a good crack with my whole collection. Looks like I've got to pay more attention to that bit. Coincidentally, I'm just approaching that very point on my latest Bullwhip :o
Please keep the feedback coming Pokkis. It's fantastic to get this kind of detailed information back on one of my whips - the first time anyone who 'knows' whips has ever used one of mine, so don't hold back on the criticisms!

I'll let you know if I can figure out something else to say about it. It's just that your whip is basically the first whip I've cracked that was not made by me. Well... Ok, I played around a bit with a crappy souvenir stockwhip like 15 years ago with no clue how it works, but that doesn't really count :P
