  Wedding Whips!

Post by Sir Roger Tuson »

My son Josh is getting married to Dawn this weekend and for various reasons, I am not allowed to attend. We have therefore created a wedding hamper for them both including hazelnut chocolate, Jaffa cakes (a kind of spongy cake with a chocolate and orange jam), Rose (rose-ay) wine and beer. We are in the process of also getting a silver plaque inscribed with a loving message but due to a mix-up, it won't ready in time :(

I thought I'd add something a little unusual so made this matched (bloody well nearly matched anyway!) pair of 3' mini bulls. They have a short section of BBs, about 25 x 4mm, a single 6-plt belly and 10-plt overlay. Dawn likes purple so her's has a mainly purple handle. Josh likes blue so his is opposite. I managed to get their initials and a heart picked out in their favourite colours. So, Josh's whip has a reminder that D loves J, and Dawn's reminds her that J loves D.

They both crack really well and are rather fast! Possibly the best I've made so far?!?!?!?!?!?!??????

Nothing conveys love like a matched set of bullwhips! Those are just awesome, Roger! Just awesome!!!!
Look how nice and neat everything lines up, that is just cool! Well done, Roger, take a bow!!!

Those whips are really nice, no doubt. And it is great that you do all that for your son; to give him a day to remember. What makes me sad is, that you won't be there. For what ever reason. Just keep it up, Rog!

Thanks guys. I've come to terms with not being there. I just want their day to be the best it can be.

Nice! Can only agree that that's quite a cool wedding present!

Lovely idea these "reminders". Love it when someone goes trough the effort to make a matching pair in opposite colors.

Also love jaffa cakes!

Awesome gifts Roger. And as we have discussed, you WILL be there in their hearts. Let the "mother" have her glory, you and the kids know whats really up....

I'm sorry too that you can't go Rog, but I think you did a very classy thing! It's too cool that you put that message in the handles, great job!

Way Too Cool Roger! It is always gifts from the heart that are the most treasured. You obviously put a lot of yours into these whips and I'm sure your son and daughter in law will love them.
Here's wishing you find time for the things you want to do, and for the things you need to do.
We see ourselves in our children and hope for a better future.

Great pair, Roger. I can think of very little which symbolizes union better than a couple making sonic booms in the back yard together.

Cool :)

Go ahead and admit it, there's something weirdly fun in making mini whips ;)

My niece has a 3 footer and it is so much fun. I thought a mini whip was only a foot or so long? I made a little one as a keychain out of paracord and it wasn't able to crack. Maybe it was too little.

As a goof ive been working on one made of 95 cord. Aiming for a foot or so. Probably wont crack but will be a cute keychain. I hope.
