I have never thrown a cow whip but the performance improvement is definite .

And yes, I am practicing not following the whip with my head. If I were in your location I most
definitely would watch out for the precious flora.

Rachel, you might offer the 'traditional' style along with the 'modified' style.
Or the options that Jessie is working on with the cup might also be an option. With her method the
thong would be more secure in the cup but also removable to be changed out.
Definitely something to research and develop .

Ron it is a good thing. Those that want one for a working tool will only want the loose kind, also in many cases the thong will outlast the handle.
The fixed version, essentially a woody bullwhip, would definitely open up a wider range of market.
I want to make a fixed one too, just for cracking.
I can't wait to see what Jessie comes up with!

Interesting stuff. I knew there's a difference between a cow whip and a woody bullwhip in this regard, but it's more than I imagined. And this also shows that if you can make a good cow whip, you can also make a good bullwhip.

Now I totally want a woody from Rachel. Umm... That came out wrong, but you know what I mean :P
